When this book launched back in October of 2023 it really caught my eye, I had always been a big fan of She-Hulk and was happy to see her get a fresh title that lined up with the Disney + TV show. Fast forward to August 2024 and we get the final issue, just under a year since the start. Its bittersweet for me but I am going to use this as a good time to reflect on their series and tell you all what I think about it!

The overall story of these 10 issues is Jen picking up the pieces and putting her life back together….again. She leans on old friends such as Patsy Walker, and Carol Danvers, but also new frenemies such as Titania and Volcana. Through her friendships and the super cool Marvel Universe Fight Club she is able to get new perspectives on things to help her move forward.
We also see the return of former Avenger Jack of Hearts (See Avengers Disassembled for that can of beans). It starts of very innocent and I’d say remains that way through Jen and Jacks burgeoning romance. They take a trip to a hotel in space go through some emotional rough patches but they do end up working those things out and it turns into one of the better written relationships I’ve read in comics.

But I would also say one of the big arcs in this is the reintroduction of She-Hulk as an Avenger. Throughout the run Carol has been asking Jen to join up with her avengers team. Jen is at first very hesitant, she feels like an outsider to the team, but with the encouragement of her friends and Jack of Hearts she does end up joining the team. But this time she does it differently. She is setting some strong boundaries that means she can be an Avenger but also not let it over run her life outside of superheroing or with Jack.
I am very sad to see this end but it was such a treat to read, I never felt that i was rushed or went too slow, there were no filler issues and it was just overall a fantastic run. I hope this team gets to stay together and work on another hero soon!
9/10
